Plum-Colored Scarab

Observed at lights, upper Kerio Valley, Kenya, Dec. 2014. Length is about 9mm.

Many, many species of beetles belonging to the scarab family are likely to exist in Kenya. This one has a unique plum-color to the elytra and pronotum.
