Noctuid Moth
This moth was attracted to lights around and eco-resort in Kirinyaga County, Kenya. 16 Oct. 2017.
There are many, many (perhaps 1000's) of species of Noctuidae in Kenya. Many of them are colored drably in browns and grays and may look the same to an untrained eye. Separating the many kinds as part of an effort to document biodiversity is a daunting task. It will require many people working over decades to complete.
