Observed in a moist, shady spot on the Elgeyo Escarpment, Iten, Kenya, July 2014. Elevation 2400 meters.
This lichen is attached to a mossy boulder on the Elgeyo Escarpment. The surface is often wet but may also get very dry during windy days in the dry season.
