Observed in turf/pasture near Eldoret, Kenya. December 2015.

FLOWERS: Small pea flower sky blue in color. There are yellow flowered forms also. Several flowers together in short racemes.

VINE: Mostly herbaceous vine that will grow close to ground and form mats.

LEAVES: Leaves are compound with three broad leaflets. Leaflets and new growth pubescent.

RANGE: This East African native has been investigated as a tropical forage crop and has been planted widely for trials.

FRUIT: The bean pods were not observed.

UNARMED.
