This popular horticultural plant has been planted widely in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. It is a native of South Africa. It blooms profusely with very long-tubed flowers arranged in spherical clusters. The stems are long and slender and are woody only at the base. Above they climb up and through adjacent plants with stems reaching several meters in length.
