Observed along a road cut through Gatamaiyo Forest, Kenya. October 2016.

The elliptical leaves have conspicuous veins four to six of which radiate from the petiole. They are aromatic when crushed. The flowers which are white and very small are arrayed on spikes. This is a slightly woody plant of forest understory.

This is a related species with much larger, wider leaves. Flowers are similar: white, minute and packed into dense spikes.
