This non-native plant has been introduced to many places in Africa and originates in the Americas.

Leaves: The small spatulate leaves are crowded along the stems. The margins are entire.

Flowers: Very small brownish-purple flowers are borne in clusters in the leaf axils.

Habit: Herbaceous mat former spreading a few 10s of cm covering ground or rocks.
