LEAVES: Leaves are arranged in a flat plane. The margins are finely toothed and slightly wavy. Shape is elliptical and are alternate on the stem.

TREE: A small to medium-sized tree encountered in the understory of mature forest in moist areas.

RANGE: Found in montane forest areas in a wide area of East Africa.

FLOWERS: Flowers are yellow.

FRUIT: .

UNARMED: No thorns

The wood of Forest Ochna is valuable for construction, furniture and tools and as a result over-harvesting in unprotected areas.
