This plant was found growing abundantly in fenced cattle/goat pasture near Eldoret, Kenya. January 2012.

HERBACEOUS: Herbaceous growth from a thick root. Plants were mostly about 1 to 1½ meters tall. Tending to form thickets.

FLOWERS: The white flowers are arranged in rings about an upright spike. Each flower is bilaterally symetric with a distinct dorsal spur.

RANGE: One of several species of Plectrantus found in grazing areas in the vicinity of Eldoret, in the Rift Valley at 1900 m elevation. There are many Plectranthus species native to East Africa.

FRUIT:

UNARMED.
