Ixora coccinea (?)

LEAVES: The shiny leaves are borne in pairs at each node on the stem. Oval to elliptic with an attenuate tip.

SHRUB: Flexible woody stems with plenty of dark green foliage.

FLOWERS: The flowers are long tubular with four petal lobes. Flowers are grouped together in tight panicles and tend to open nearly all at once.

RANGE: Ixora species are endemic to tropical Asia. I. coccinea is from southern India and has since been planted in many tropical areas around the world.

FRUIT:

UNARMED.
