The compound leaves are pinnate with an odd number of leaflets and 3 to 5 pairs. These leaflets are thin and glossy dark green above and lighter green below. The margins are smooth. Flowers occur in sprays and these give way to fleshy capsules better than 2cm in diameter. A broad, dense crown may reach 15m in height.
