SHRUB or TREE: Wide range of growth forms. Even as a large shrub or small tree the plant can enter reproductive state. In a forest, for example at Kakamega, croton trees exceeding 25 m can be found.

FLOWERS: Small white flowers.

LEAVES: Leaves are broadly elyptic to nearly round. The base of the leaves are cordate, i.e. heart-shaped. Also, like many crotons the leaves change color to orange as they senesce.

RANGE: Widespread in Kenya.

FRUIT: The seed pods are spherical and again like all spurges, are three-parted.

UNARMED. Without thorns.
