Tough, succulent tubers or stems remain wedged between rocks when the tops get grazed off by goats or antelope. Leaves have long silky hairs suggesting this one may be close to Cyanotis arachnoidea. The example below has nearly white flowers whereas the one at left are pale blue-purple. Photographed on a rocky hill with heavy grazing pressure. Turbo, Kenya. December 2015.
