|
Observed in a farming area west of Eldoret, Kenya. December 2012. |
This woody composite was observed growing in a fence row in a farming area with heavy grazing pressure. The numerous small heads are arranged into spikes, which are pendulous and arrayed along one side of a panicle-like inflorescence. The heads are about 3.5 mm tall and do not have any evident rays, only disc florets. The leaves are soft-pubescent and are pinnately lobed below. *Asteraceae -- Sunflower Family -- AnthemideaeMore Information: |
