This coppery-hued long-tailed skink was observed near a garden pond at Nairobi's City Park, Kenya. It is about 10 cm in length. 2 October 2010. The one at right was found slithering through turf grass at the Nairobi Museum, March, 2013. |
The skink at left was observed in moist, secondary woodland at City Park in Nairobi. A small garden pond was nearby. It is about 10 cm long. The tail is regrowing after the skink apparently encountered a predator of some kind. Scincidae -- Skink FamilyMore Information: |
